【PURPOSE/SUMMARY】
The Quality Culture Manager is a trusted partner within the organization on Quality matters, with a focus on collaboration within QARA and partnership with Chief Manufacturing Supply Officer, R&D, and Sales & Marketing.
Promotes and implements the Olympus culture strategy, with a focus on patient safety and quality (PS&Q) that aligns with the organization’s mission, values, and goals.
This role is a quality-specific resource to employees in CMSO, R&D, Sales/Mkt, which means they, help connect the business to the support they need on quality matters, proactive suggestions, and questions.
The Quality Culture Manager works with regional leaders and employees to activate and embed the culture and ensure that it is understood and sustained.
Coordinates and implements activities to engage employees. This can include employee surveys, focus groups, interactive employee sessions, quality month events, core values week events, Viva Engage campaigns, Gemba visits and employee engagement programs.
Coordinates and socializes organizational change positively and ensures that the organization’s culture and values are integrated into any changes to the organization.
Support engagement activities including defining new etiquettes and protocol, changes to processes, systems, and policies.
Implement programs to help the business identify and nurture high performers, and develop future technical experts, managers and leaders.
Deploy local quality leadership and technical development programs through cross-function partnership.
Execute recognition programs based on a global concept regionally / on-site to support business objectives.
【職務内容】
・Create a regional structure of key collaborators in Japan region.
・Host and attend key workshops and trainings and other engagement formats within assigned region
-Understanding of PS&Q culture methods
-Coordinate, host and participate in PS&Q culture training sessions
-Collaborate with Learning &Development to build out a comprehensive set of multi-modal training opportunities to provide ongoing training and development opportunities for employees and managers in the Quality organization.
・Strong communication skills for content generation within Olympus digital platforms e.g. Viva Engage
-Leverage materials created by the global team to disseminate information about the culture progress across the organization on a regular basis
・Actively and visibly participate in the change effort, including coordinating culture messaging deployment with cross-functional engagements
-Research, develop, work collaboratively and implement culture activation measures and initiatives that support the PS& Q culture
-Engage with corporate communication functions globally and regionally on proactive and reactive issues, including sharing customer stories, employee experience through interviews, focus groups, surveys and analysis of data
-Work closely with HR, L&D, Compliance, Communications, QARA and other business leaders to develop and implement leadership development programs
・Demonstrate empathy
-Act as culture advocate - business partner function to navigate concerns, grey areas
-Capture improvement suggestions from assigned region and act as voice of customer
-Share best practices with other regional culture advocates/champions
・Act as a coach to support other managers, supervisors, and employees through the transition
-Lead or support quality and compliance projects as requested, and perform other assigned duties as needed.
-Follow up on improvement suggestions; elevate best-practices among sites and sub-regions
・Be a role model in demonstrating new ways of working
oDesign programs to help the business identify and nurture high performers, and develop future technical experts, managers and leaders
-Promote and maintain employee recognition programs that align with company values
・Capture and report regional culture metrics that tied to behaviors to deliver on business outcomes.
【必須要件】
Education:
・A minimum of a 4-year college degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in communications, public/media relations, business, technical or science-related field is required
・Completion of quality training preferred (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, MHLW Ordinance 169, 21 CFR 820/11)
Experience:
・Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Quality, training, public relations, communications or similar role
・Ability to navigate ambiguous and/or complicated issues to create focused, concise messaging and plans
・Demonstrated background creating content and messaging for diverse internal/external audiences across a variety of formats
・Developed professional development and recognition programs
・Ability to collaborate, develop strong working relationships, and demonstrate leadership and project management capabilities within a matrixed organization environment
・Bias for action, impeccable organizational skills, critical thinking, solutions-oriented, attentive to detail
Skills:
・Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills in English and Japanese
・Proven strong computer skills and use of software applications such as MS Windows, MS Office, and online applications such as Viva Engage.
・Effective project management skills and ability to work effectively under deadline and manage multiple projects simultaneously
・Work closely with internal stakeholders, executives and strategic partners as a trusted counsellor and consultant on culture activities
Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.):
・In this Global role, the individual will be expected to schedule meetings that work for multiple time zones and up to 30% travel should be expected, sometimes in short notice.
